“Robert Rivest presented his Science in Motion Comic Mime Show at our ‘One-of-a-kind Family Science Night’ We included Primary, Elementary, and Middle School families. Robert demonstrated mime techniques and invited scores of students (and a few brave parents) up on stage to try their hand at the art of mime. Together, they acted out the four seasons, the water cycle, an astronaut in space, and an astronaut taking steps on the moon. Lots of laughter could be heard throughout the program and audience members were eager to participate.”
A few family members said:
“Our family really enjoyed Mr. Rivest’s program. Our daughters couldn’t wait to get on stage with him and use their bodies to illustrate the 4 seasons. It was so much fun!”
“I wondered how the mime would teach us Science. He used his body to tell stories and we loved it!”
Darlene Noel, Phillipsburg School District, Director of K-5 Mathematics, Science, Gifted & Talented, and Special Subjects

"We where thrilled with the performance ... He really did his home work! Not only did he do a beautiful job with some of the subjects we suggested (a piping plover, a raindrop journey ) he added some of his own which were a lot of fun and right on target (moving a glacier, fresh water meets salt water...) We will cite Robert's performance as a model for future performances." Joan Miller, Education Coordinator, Waquoit Bay Research Reserve
